Brian Acord
Harnessing the transformative power of AI, Brian Acord has been at the forefront of technological innovation since his early days tinkering with an Apple IIe. After becoming the youngest Director at Tech Data, in 1999 he co-founded the groundbreaking NLP startup, Attensity, a frontrunner in powering enterprise AI applications. As an entrepreneur, Brian has launched over a dozen startups, including several with industry giants like Disney and United Airlines.
In the academic realm, Brian has taught entrepreneurship and business at BYU and the University of Utah. His current focus at Salt Lake Community College is working with underserved communities where he teaches entrepreneurship for refugees and at the Utah State Correctional Facility. He serves as faculty for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and is the Program Director of Verizon Innovative Learning. Brian actively champions causes for at-risk teens and the homeless through his work with the Nomad Alliance and as Board Chair for Common Thread.
